No, the Police are obliged to help the child even if you do not have documents, including those confirming registration.
If you have problems with your visa or immigration status, there is a risk of getting into trouble, as the Police also deal with immigration issues. However, if you have violated the rules of staying in the country and your life is not in danger right now, it is better to contact not the Police but the support center for survivors of domestic and sexualized violence.
Tell them who you are, where you are, what exactly happened to the child, and when.
It depends on the current capacities and geographic position of the closest unit, there is no official time limit. In general, the average time limit should be minutes or tens of minutes. You should be informed on the phone line how long it would take the Police to arrive.
The Police are obliged to come. If necessary, call 158 again.
Tell them, who you are, what and how it happened. The Police will also ask you other necessary questions – just follow their instructions. Do not hesitate to ask any questions if something is not clear to you.
You can call 155 for an ambulance. Nevertheless, if the child does not have insurance, it is not free.
By law, health care professionals have the obligation to notify the Police if a certain list of crimes has been committed.
Try to explain the situation as clearly and in detail as possible, and tell what injuries the child received and what pain they have in their body. Do not hesitate to ask the medical staff if you have any questions.
